To create a text box of a specific size, hold down Option, click once with the Type tool, and a dialog box will prompt you to enter the exact size of the Paragraph Text box. Reset Preferences as you launch One of the best ways to fix many common problems in Photoshop is to delete the preferences. Rather than struggling to find the Preferences file and delete it, quit Photoshop instead, and then re-launch it, holding down Command-Option-Shift. You will be asked if you want to delete the Preferences. Click OK and all your settings will revert back to the original, out-of-the-box defaults.
