June Meeting

June's Photoshop SIG meeting is scheduled for Thursday the 13th, from 7:00 to 8:45 p.m. in the graphics room of North Hunterdon High School. The program will wrap-up the review of the mock magazine cover project assigned at the April meeting. Project information, instructions, and downloads are available on the Photoshop SIG website. Members should bring in their working files (both layered and flattened) on a Zip disk for review and discussion at the meeting. Even if the project is not complete, please bring in your progress to date. Examples from the May meeting can be found in the news section of the PSIG website. http://www.macnj.org/pssig/news2002_12.html

Photoshop 7 Movies

Also at the June meeting, there will be a look at some additional Total Training videos dealing with the pattern maker, the batch rename features of the file browser, new painting tools and capabilities, and other enhancements such as the spell checker, improved picture package, and file security features in Photoshop 7.

Summer Break

Due to the schedule of the Polytech school, the June meeting will be the last before the summer break. We will resume meeting in September when Polytech is back in session. The exact time and schedule is yet to be determined, but we hope to know by mid-August.

Macworld Expo

Macworld Expo New York takes place from July 15th to the 19th at the Javits Center. Members are encouraged to register (if they have not done so already) and attend. Full information can be found at the official Macworld Expo website http://www.macworldexpo.com

Tips and Tricks: Quick Keyboard Shortcut

Instead of dragging the layer to the New Layer icon or selecting it from the menu, just press "Command-J" to duplicate the current active layer.

Tips and Tricks: Using last settings

Whenever you use any of the commands found under the Image>Adjust menu, they always start off with the default settings. But, if you hold Option when choosing one of those commands, Photoshop will instead use the last settings that you applied during this session in Photoshop.
